Denman Rooke is an art director, concept artist, and illustrator based in Galway, Ireland. He is an artist & owner at studio RÚCACH working for projects like Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere RPG. He has worked with well known brands including Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and Marvel. Previous larger project work includes art direction for Empire of Sin which was developed by Romero Games and published by Paradox Interactive. Additionally he has been published internationally in issues of the Spectrum Annual, Digital Artist magazine, and ImagineFX.
Denman was named ImagineFX magazine’s 2013 Rising Stars in Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art. Rooke’s Art Direction work on Empire of Sin won the 2020 national award for Best Game Art.
Denman is also a member with IMIRT, the Irish Game Makers Association, and was elected a board member and director from 2020 through 2022 and help spearhead funding from Screen Ireland’s Screen Stakeholders Funding Scheme which secured funds to run a series of online workshops with international industry mentors to support the development of the Irish games sector.
